How to add the Smart Plug to the care app?Updated 2 months ago

Hello! 

Before connecting, check that your smartphone is connected to your home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network successfully, so that you can connect the plug to the cuid app. 

After connecting the plug to the power outlet and then connecting the device you want to assign it to the plug, follow the steps below to add it to the app:

Step 1

Open the app, press the +Add Device button, and then click on cuid Smart Plug.

Step 2

Place the smart plug into the wall socket, and make sure that this light flashes rapidly 2 times per second. Make sure that the Quick Mode setting has been initiated by verifying that the indicator light flashes blue rapidly (twice per second); if it flashes slowly [once every 3 seconds], press and hold the Smart Plug's power button for 6 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly.

When this happens, press Done to initiate pairing.

Step 3

Keep the screen open while the app detects and scans your smart plug.

Step 4

Successful connection! Your Smart Plug is now registered in the app.

Step 5

Now that the pairing is complete, it's time to configure it: in the screen you see below, you must choose which members can manage it, assign it to a property if you have more than one (if you have only one, it will be assigned to it by default), assign it its work area in Property Area and, finally, choose its name-if you don't want to change the name, it will stay with the one assigned by the app.

Step 6

Finally, it's time to pair the smart plug to the device of your choice. As you can see in the screen below, all the existing devices will appear in your app. Decide which one to pair it with -obviously, it has to be the same device you connected it to- and press Confirm.
